As a holistic coach, I work with my clients on a mental, emotional, physical and spiritual level.
Together, we don't just look at symptoms you may have, but also and foremost at the root cause of those symptoms.
We'll look at your life story, your daily habits, health and nutrition, your values, and your boundaries (needs, wants and expectations).
Some of the tools I use are breathwork, embodiment, insight coaching and exercises, all geared to your situation and goals.
Breathwork is much more than breathing exercises for relieving tension and stress.
Somatic breathwork starts at the core level of the nervous system. It helps release old patterns, traumas and long-held physical, mental and emotional tension. Using a specific breathing technique combined with movement, sound, touch and meditation, I will support you in releasing and integrating trauma, rather than reliving it and becoming overwhelmed. Yoga and Embodiment

The body is not just an object. Your body is a part of who you are.
How and who you choose to be, directly impacts how you move through life.
Embodiment is a way of being as it relates to the body; your sense of yourself in relation to history, place, relationships with others and yourself. Working with the body you will learn how to influence your mind and how to use your mind to influence your body.
Other tools we may use, are Yoga Nidra, Meditation and EFT (Tapping)
Yoga Nidra is a powerful technique where you are brought into a deep state of relaxation in between waking and sleeping. It works to release physical, emotional and mental tensions and it allows deeply held emotions to dissipate gradually, and safely.
Yoga Nidra improves the function of your nervous system. During the practice, the sympathetic nervous system (fight-flight mode) is turned off and the parasympathetic nervous system (rest-digest mode) is activated. Yoga Nidra also improves the endocrine system, which affects your hormones.
Science has shown that meditation - the act of giving your attention to only one thing - increases awareness of yourself and your surroundings. Only a few minutes of meditation a day reduces stress and develops concentration.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) or Tapping is a body/mind self-help method. It combines a gentle touch with mindful and vocal attention to thoughts and feelings. EFT involves tapping with your fingertips on acupuncture points on the hands, face and body while focusing on an issue you want to resolve.
Please note: A holistic coach isn't a substitute for a psychotherapist, although the methods used overlap. In case of acute mental or health problems (depression, addictions, severe obesity, etc.), medical treatment is mandatory.
